Hair is an influential part of an individual’s personality, be it a man or a woman. Hair has the potential to change a person’s magnetism completely. An individual with short hair will look entirely different from another with long hair; not only it impacts other people’s judgment of you, but it also changes the way you view yourself.
Such is the power of hair, styles, and hair length that a multi-billion dollar industry has been put together around hair care and hair development. It plays a dynamic role in attracting or opposing both genders. Yet, the views of one gender regarding the likability hair length of the opposite sex depends on and changes for different countries, cultures, and races.
Men’s Preferences:
In western culture, women with short hair and long hair; are liked by men. However, most men seem to get more attracted to women with short hair. Short hair provides an iconoclastic and new look. Men in the west find women with short hair attention-grabbing, as they catch their interest because they stand out from the rest. Short hair is also fashionable in the west, as many attractive actresses seem to have short hair in movies. That shows the attractiveness of women with short hair in western culture.
In eastern culture and the Asian race, short hair is generally disliked. Women with short hair are seen; as none appealing for Asian men. They are regarded also as a bit masculine. Nonetheless, women with long hair are deemed more attractive by eastern men. This mindset and approach are a fashion norm in eastern culture.
In Arab and Muslim countries, religion is a heavy influence concerning the length of women’s hair. A woman with short hair is disliked and delegated as non-religious at the outset. Men in these countries prefer women with long hair.
Women’s preferences:
Women all over the world love guys with long hair. However, the problem with long hair is that they are monotonous and don’t suit everyone. On the other hand, short hair allows men to try different haircuts. Some can be, undercut, crew cut, Ivy League, short buzz cut, curly fringe, textured quiff, bowl cut, and other varieties. A man can easily choose from any of the short hairstyles that suit his personality. It allows men to be more confident with their hair, and confidence in a man is the biggest attraction. No women like to be attracted to a man with a timid personality. Therefore, women in the eastern, as well as in the western culture, are more attracted to men with short hair.
The likeability of men with short hair among women throughout all the modern countries of the world is unanimous. However, in some primitive cultures and societies such as Mayas, the culture dictates men to have long hair. In these societies, women find men with long hair more attractive.
